South Korea remains at No. 69 in FIFA rankings

South Korea remained at No. 69, its lowest ever, on the FIFA rankings released on Thursday (local time).

Iran moved up five notches to 51st place, becoming the highest-ranked Asian country.

Japan moved down one notch to 54th place.

Oman, Australia and Kuwait, all belong to group A in the upcoming AFC Asian Cup football tournament like South Korea, came in 93rd, 100th and 124th, respectively. The 2015 Asian Cup will kick off Jan. 9 in Australia.

Six football powers - Germany, Argentina, Colombia, Belgium, the Netherlands and Brazil - retained the top six spots.
