Veteran actor Choi Min-shik took the top spot in a Gallup Korea survey asking "who was your most favorite actor in 2014?"
Choi won 42.3 percent of support in the poll of 1,703 people aged 13 or older, which was conducted between Oct. 29 and Nov. 25.
Choi won the Best Actor prize for his starring role in "Roaring Currents" at the 51st Daejong (Grand Bell) Film Awards, South Korea's oldest cinema awards, last month.
The film about a 16th-century Korean naval hero who defeated invading Japanese in the late 16th century, attracted 17.6 million moviegoers in a country with population of about 50 million.
Actors swept the top 10 in the annual Gallup Korea survey released on Monday.
Song Kang-ho was ranked second with 22.2 percent of support, followed by Ryu Seung-ryong with 10.5 percent, Ha Jung-woo with 9 percent and Lee Byung-hun 4.5 percent.
Kang Dong-won came in sixth with 4.2 percent of approval, trailed by Seol Kyung-gu (3.7 percent), Jung Woo-sung (3.6 percent), Hyun Bin (3.3 percent) and Kim Soo-hyun (3.2 percent).
