Overall exports came to $46.9 billion, down 2.1 percent from the same month of last year, while imports decreased 4 percent to $41.4 billion. This marked the 34th consecutive month that the nation has logged a trade surplus.

The cumulative surplus in the first 11 months of 2014 amounted to $41.6 billion, the report said.
