LG had a market share of 5.4 percent, up 0.6 percentage point from the second quarter, ahead of Xiaomi (4.3 percent), Huawei (3.8 percent) and Sony (3.6 percent), according to the U.S.-based Strategy Analytics.
Apple's market share stood at 32.3 percent, up 4.5 percentage points from the second quarter, while Samsung saw its share plunge by 6.4 percentage points to 24.8 percent in the July-September period from 31.2 percent in the April-June period.
