Samsung Group to sell 4 units to Hanwha

Samsung Group said Wednesday it will sell four chemical and defense units to Hanwha Group. They are Samsung Techwin; Samsung General Chemicals; Samsung Thales, an affiliate of the defense unit; and Samsung Total Petrochemicals affiliated with the chemical unit.

Samsung Group will sell a 32.4 percent stake in Samsung Techwin and a 57.6 percent stake in Samsung General Chemicals for 840 billion won and 1,060 billion won, respectively, company officials said.

The sales process will be completed by the end of June next year, they said.
