South Korea ranked 28th in Global Entrepreneurship Index

South Korea ranked 28th among 130 economies in small business and start-up activity, according to the 2015 Global Entrepreneurship Index released by the Washington-based Global Entrepreneurship and Development Institute (GEDI) Nov. 17.

The index placed Taiwan eighth; Singapore 10th; Japan, 33rd; Hong Kong, 40th; and mainland China, 61st. Taiwan was ranked No. 1 in Asia.

The United States took the top spot in the world, trailed by Canada, Australia and the United Kingdom.
