Seoul National University ties for 72nd place in US News & World Report's college rankings

Seoul National University (SNU) tied for 72nd place with Australian National University in the US News & World Report's college rankings released on Tuesday (local time), becoming the seventh highest-ranking school in Asia. 

Tokyo University placed 24th, the highest among Asian universities, trailed by Peking University (39th), the University of Hong Kong (42nd), the National University of Singapore (55th), Kyoto University (60th) and Tsinghua University (67th). 

 Harvard topped the annual rankings, while the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) ranked second; UC Berkeley, third; Stanford, fourth; and Oxford, fifth.
