2 dead and 4 wounded in Washington State high school shooting

Marysville Pilchuck High School’s peaceful lunch time on Friday turned into a nightmare when a male student opened fired in the school cafeteria. According to the witnesses, the gunman stood up with “blank stare” pulling a gun, .40-caliber Beretta, out of his pocket and started shooting people down. From the shooting, a girl died and 4 people were injured. Then Fryberg killed himself right after. All the victims are under the age of 18 and 3 of them are in critical condition.

The shooter was later identified as Jaylen Ray Fryberg, a freshman of Pilchuck High and a recent crowned Homecoming Prince. The fellow students of the school described him as a popular student and “a nice kid”.

The exact motif of shooting is not clear at this point but his friends said that he tweeted previously of his complicated relationship issues.

After the shooting, fire alarm went off and students started evacuating the school building only to be rushed back in by school staffs as a lockdown procedure.

All the students were safely reunited with their parents later the authorities released the lockdown.

Marysville, the small and peaceful town just north of Seattle, are in shock that such a crime could take place in their city.
