The signing took place in Busan, South Korea, following talks between Choi Yang-hee, South Korea's minister of science, ICT and future planning, and his Nicaraguan counterpart on the sidelines of the 19th ITU Plenipotentiary Conference, which kicked off Monday.
The MOU calls for cooperation in software, high-speed Internet, mobile networks, digital content, big data and human resources development, South Korean officials said.
Under the MOU, the two governments will also establish a joint committee to discuss ways of promoting exchanges of experts, and carrying out joint researches and education and training programs, they said.
