South Korean newlyweds travel an average of 4,000 miles (6,437 kilometers) for their honeymoon, the longest distance among newlyweds in 71 countries around the world, a U.S.-based online social networking service said Friday.

Italians came in second with about 3,500 miles, followed by Qataris and UAE people, Facebook reported, based on 'check-in" information it has collected from its users. Japanese travel only about 400 kilometers for their honeymoon.

The most popular honeymoon destination among newlyweds in those countries surveyed was Las Vegas in the United States, according to the report. Lahaina in Hawaii ranked second, trailed by Honolulu and Playa del Carmen in Mexico.
