2014 Global Green Growth Forum to discuss sustainable growth in era of creative convergence

The sixth Global Green Growth Forum (GGGF) will open on Sept. 24 at the Plaza Hotel in central Seoul to discuss strategies for sustainable growth in the era of creative convergence, the organizers said. 

Discussions will center on ways to link Germany's "Industry 4.0 (the fourth industrial revolution)" project to the Park Geun-hye administration's "Creative Economy" plan during the three-day forum hosted by The Aju Business Daily (ajunews.com), published in four languages - Korean, Chinese, English and Japanese.

On the first day of the 2014 GGGF, Mario Ohoven, chairman of the Bundesverband Mittelstaendische Wirtschaft, and Uwe Kubach, vice chairman of Germany's SAP and professor emeritus of the Technical University Dresden, will take about the Industry 4.0 that has helped facilitate the sustainable growth of German economy.

Participants will also discuss ways of boosting economic cooperation between South Korea and China as a follow-up to the Seoul-Beijing summit. Li Tianwen, chairman of ISS Group, China, will deliver a keynote lecture under the title of "China's New Urbanization Policy and Ways to Help Korean Business Broaden Inroads into the Chinese Market." Han Pangming, deputy director of the Foreign Affairs Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference National Committee and president of the Chahar Society (former vice chairman of TCL Group), will give a lecture on "China-Korea Economic Cooperation and Ways to Expand Public Diplomacy" between the two countries. 

In addition, some incumbent Korean ministers and economic experts will hold in-depth discussions on follow-up measures of President Park Geun-hye's summit diplomacy and new growth engine.

Besides, participants will exchange views on the future of Korean economy facing various economic uncertainties, such as the protracted global economic crisis.
