JYJ to hold Hallyu concert in southern Seoul Oct. 5

K-pop boy band JYJ will hold a free concert, dubbed “Hallyu (Korean Wave) Festival,” on a major street in southern Seoul on Oct. 5, as part of the 2014 Gangnam Festival, the group’s management agency in Seoul, C-Jes Entertainment, said on Monday. The two-hour event will be held on Yeongdong Road in front of the COEX building in Samseong-dong.

The annual Gangnam Festival in the first week of October is designed to “boost the Gangnam district’s brand value,” organizers said.

This year’s program includes a fashion festival, an international peace marathon and a grand sale, they said.
