Super Junior member Leeteuk discharged from military service

Leeteuk of boy band Super Junior was discharged from military service Tuesday.

His discharge did not received much attention as, according to his management agency in Seoul, he wanted to be discharged from the military without holding any media interviews or fan meetings.

The 31-year-old plans to make a comeback as a member of the Super Junior in the second half, the agency, SM Entertainment, said.

The boy band is scheduled to begin a world tour, dubbed “Super Show 6,” in September. The tour will kick off in Seoul in South Korea and move on to Japan, China and Thailand, it said.

After that, they will make preparations for their new album, the agency said.

In South Korea, all able-bodied men are subject to about two-year mandatory military service.
