New girl group ‘Red Velvet’ to release debut single Aug. 4

A new girl group, named “Red Velvet,” will make its South Korean debut on Aug. 4, its management agency said Monday.

The group will release its digital debut single “Happiness” to music websites, SM Entertainment said, releasing its teaser video clips through redvelvet.smtown.com and youtube.com/smtown.

"Red Velvet" is composed of four members – Seul Ki, Irin, Wendy and Joy. Seul Ki, Irin and Wendy are known for pre-debut activities they did under the name of “SM Rookies.”
 
SM Entertainment manages several top K-pop musicians, including EXO, TVXQ and Girls' Generation.
