Indian's House in Central Oregon

Central Oregon-Part 3

The life of Indians in the US is challenging. The land they got from US government is generally not enough to grow crops.

Even though some Indians try to get some jobs in town, most Indians still live in the Reservation Area and their standard of living is still below the average of Americans.

They get some aid from the government, but that is not enough. They have to have some capability to be self-sufficient for stability, but it is difficult to make it because land itself is really hard to grow crops and raise livestock.

Some Indian tribes are booming from the casino business but that is just small percentage.

Because of this, most Indians still live in poverty and this is one of the issues US needs to figure out because without Indians' help in early history, US could not exist.

Here are some views from Indian Reservation Area of Central Oregon.
