"Make Your Move," a film starring K-pop diva BoA and American dancer, choreographer and five-time “Dancing with the Stars” winner Derek Hough, will open at South Korean and U.S. theaters on April 17 and April 18 (local time), respectively, a co-producer said Thursday.

The movie was already released in 14 countries, including Belgium, the Netherlands and Vietnam.

The dance film, directed by Hollywood filmmaker Duane Alder, has been exported to 54 countries, including France, Germany, Australia and the Czech Republic, the co-producer, CJ E&M, said. Adler is known for popular movies featuring dance, “Step Up” and “Save the Last Dance.”

Its sales abroad have surpassed a combined US$6.3 million, CJ E&M said.

The film portrays a man and a woman, who come to understand each other through dance and fall in love.

It was co-produced by South Korea’s CJ E&M and S.M. Entertainment and Robert Cort Productions of the United States.
