Samsung today launched officially 4 and 5-inch competitors to the iPod Touch, essentially Android smartphones without the phone feather, and of course without any monthly mandatory use payment.

The Samsung Galaxy S WiFi 4.0 and 5.0 are the exact same figure only without phone. Both run Android 2.2 and have 1Ghz Samsung Hummingbird processors, 800x480 screens and 3.2 megapixel cameras on the back and VGA camera on the front. Both can connect to the internet using Wi-Fi 802.11. b/g/n, and have Bluetooth 3.0.

The 5-inch device has a flash for camera and uses a TFT LCD rather than a Super Clear LCD with 16 or 32 GB two kinds. The smaller one will be 8, 16 and 32 GB models.

Samsung is trying to bring the both models to U.S. and sell through big chain stores and carriers. The launch schedule is not fixed.
